In the ever-evolving landscape of renewable energy, community ownership and trust are the cornerstones of sustainable progress. INSPIRE recently kicked off the project TRUST MATTERS, an initiative dedicated to nurturing the spirit of community ownership within REIPPPP.
Three Vibrant Gatherings, One Shared Vision
Through a series of REIPPPP Community Trusts Connect Workshops, we sought to create a platform for trust boards to connect, learn, and collaborate to maximize the benefits of renewable energy projects for their communities.
In Cape Town, Gqeberha, and Kimberley, we were privileged to host community trustees and other stakeholders from REIPPPP trust boards. These workshops were more than just events; they were gatherings of like-minded individuals committed to driving positive change in their communities.
The workshops provided a unique opportunity for participants to meet and engage with other REIPPPP trusts. Through networking sessions and group discussions, attendees shared insights, challenges and strategies, fostering a sense of camaraderie and collaboration.
