At INSPIRE, we know that delivering high-impact social performance work in the renewable energy space takes more than vision — it requires capable, grounded, and values-driven leadership. We are thrilled to welcome two such individuals to our growing team!
Meet Joy Mgabadeli – Operations Manager
With over 15 years of experience in donor-funded projects across Southern Africa, Joy brings deep expertise in grants management, operational systems, and sustainable delivery. Her past roles with USAID, PEPFAR, and the Global Fund have seen her lead complex grant portfolios, develop audit-ready systems using tools like Salesforce and SharePoint, and embed sustainability through SOP development and partner capacity building.
Joy’s ability to blend operational rigour with adaptive implementation makes her a perfect fit for our evolving work in social performance. She resonates strongly with INSPIRE’s system-focused, equity-driven ethos — and is already contributing to our strategic planning, internal systems, and delivery frameworks.
“I’m happy to be joining the INSPIRE team and excited about the work ahead. It’s an honour to step into this new role as Operations Manager, and I look forward to contributing meaningfully to the systems, processes, and partnerships that power our mission.” — Joy
Meet Lucy Musapatika – Cost Controller
Lucy brings over 15 years of financial management experience in development contexts, having worked with organisations such as Gender Links, Just Associates, and Internews. Across these roles, she has led regional finance teams, overseen donor reporting, and ensured compliance on multi-country projects focused on climate justice, governance, and renewable energy.
While we’re just beginning to get to know Lucy, her track record speaks for itself. She combines financial precision with a thoughtful ability to make budgets and compliance accessible to project teams. This kind of support is essential as we expand our work with REIPPPP trusts and community-owned initiatives.
Lucy brings not only financial acumen but a deep commitment to the values that drive INSPIRE’s mission.
Our growing team
As INSPIRE continues to bridge the gap between renewable energy and social justice, we are committed to building a team that reflects the highest standards of excellence, integrity, and care. Joy and Lucy each bring leadership and technical expertise that will strengthen our internal systems and frontline delivery — helping us go further, together.
Please join us in warmly welcoming them to the team!
