Building Renewable Energy Social Performance Capacity
We contribute towards building Social Performance capacity in the Renewable Energy sector.
We do this by developing accessible learning tools, materials, and events that professionalise the field and strengthen both technical and leadership skills. This includes Learning Events, Training Workshops and Leadership programmes, all aimed at creating spaces for shared learning, skills development, and peer connection to grow equipped, skilled and connected leaders.

Offload and Learn: Case Clinics for Practitioners
In 2022, we held two expertly facilitated online case clinics for ED practitioners, introducing group methodologies like coaching circles to guide collaborative problem solving and unblock real-world challenges.
Trustee Tea
We hosted two online roundtables, connecting trustees from over 100 community trusts to strengthen networks, share best practices and support peer learning.
ED Plan Development for 2022
We hosted six interactive sessions in 2022, enabling 105 ED practitioners to collaborate, share insights, and adapt ED plans, templates, and strategies through peer learning, discussion and interaction.
Managing Community Investments and Benefits
This two-week hybrid course, in collaboration with Synergy Global Consulting and Wits Mining Institute, prepared participants for planning, executing, and assessing CIB/SED interventions in the renewable energy sector.
Managing Community Relations and Stakeholder Engagement
Blending online sessions and self-study, this two-week practical course equipped participants with the skills, tools, and approaches for managing stakeholder and community relations, expectations and conflict.
Introduction to Social Performance Practice
In collaboration with Synergy Global Consulting and Wits Mining Institute, we delivered a two-day in-person course aimed at equipping participants with an understanding of existing and emerging social performance expectations in the renewable energy sector.
M&E Roundtables 2022
In 2022, we held four online roundtable discussions to understand M&E practices in REIPPPP, outlining key themes, expectations, and recommendations to strengthen collaboration, impact and community involvement.
Academic Circle 2022
In 2022, we held a total of five online sessions with 36 participants across SA to exchange research ideas, solve problems and network. Topics included community development, biodiversity, and renewable energy.
