The Initiative for Social Performance in Renewable Energy (INSPIRE) aims to advance the field of social performance in South Africa’s renewable energy sector, with the wider goal of becoming a leading platform across the African continent and internationally.
Synergy Global Consulting nurtured INSPIRE into existence with founding support from Actis, Lekela and BTE Renewables. The South African Wind Energy Industry Association (SAWEA) and the South African Photo Voltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA) are implementation partners of INSPIRE.
INSPIRE is a registered non-profit company (NPC) in South Africa with non-profit organisation (NPO) and public benefit organisation (PBO) status, an independent board and secretariat.
